Turkish demonstrators demanding the dismissal of police chiefs



A group representing the demonstrators demanded the Turkish government today dismissal of police chiefs in Istanbul and Ankara, and other cities in which the police in the past few days violent suppression of demonstrations against the government of Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
A spokesman for the demonstrators Ayoub Mumcu, told reporters during a recitation of a list of demands, after his meeting with Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc in Ankara: "We demand the dismissal of police chiefs, those responsible for the violence and pressure."

Arinc was yesterday apologized for wounded demonstrators, and said that the power "learned lessons" from these events, which have left two people dead and injured about two thousand in all parts of the country.
