Qatari Prime Minister calls for arming the Syrian opposition



Called on the Qatari Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani, Monday, the international community to arm the Syrian opposition, and called on Arab states to take the initiative to provide a safe haven for dissidents inside Syria.
He said during a visit to Norway «I think we should do what it takes to help them (the opposition) including the arming to defend themselves.
He added that Arab countries have to participate in international military effort to stop the bloodshed in Syria after 11 months of the popular uprising against the rule of President Bashar al-Assad, which killed thousands.
